For want of a tablet, a mouse was used....

I finally finished it! My procrastination picture! (my essay, on the other hand, is a different story....>< ; )

But yes, I've been working on this on and off since January, 108 layers of photoshoped goodness

This is the colored version of the sketchy pic that I put up earlier today (I just finished this and I couldn't bring myself to wait to put it up ^__^ )

I am aware that there are many things that could be fixed (her head, her hands, the fact that she's tilting a bit...which is because I drew it at a bit of an angle in my sketchbook and didn't feel like fixing it...)

Oh, and the wings. I am bound and determined to get myself a tablet because trying to draw with my mouse was just too spazzy for me. I ended up leaving the original sketch visible in the wings, shading over it and accenting some of the lines with my ebil mouse. Only some, because I couldn't for the life of me do the wings like I did the rest of her. I like how it came out, though.

I like how the whole thing came out, actually. I've never tried anything quite like this (except for that one other pic, but I tried a cell-shading type thing with that. Not QUITE the same, I think). I tried to apply a lot of the things I learned in my drawing class as I, well, learned them. I hope it shows.

But yes, TABLET! Must have.............
